Who we are
CFO Insights is the fractional CFO, advisory and publishing practice of Steven Taylor. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean CFO Insights. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
We only collect the information you choose to give us through this website:
- Contact and discovery call forms: your name, email address and message, and if you provide them, your phone number, organisation name, revenue range and the service you are interested in.
- Free resource downloads: your email address and, if you provide them, your first name, industry and organisation size.
- The Margin Room sign-up: your name and email address.
You can browse the website without giving us any personal information. You do not have to provide optional fields. If you contact us by email, phone or LinkedIn, we keep a record of that correspondence.
We do not ask for sensitive information, such as health information, and we ask you not to include it in a form or message.
Why we collect it and how we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and arrange a discovery call.
- To send you the resource you requested.
- To contact you about The Margin Room if you signed up.
- To provide and manage services you engage us for.
- To understand which resources and services are useful, so we can improve the website.
Direct marketing
We may contact you about our services, resources or events where you have asked us to or would reasonably expect it. Every marketing email will tell you how to opt out, or you can ask us to stop at any time using the contact details below. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.
Who we share it with
We do not share your personal information except:
- with the service providers who host this website and its database and deliver our notification emails, only so they can provide those services to us
- where you have agreed to it
- where the law requires or allows it.
Some of these service providers may store or process information outside Australia. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to make sure your information is handled in a way that is consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.
Cookies and third-party content
This website does not use advertising cookies or analytics tracking. Some pages include embedded YouTube videos. When you play or load one, YouTube (Google) may set cookies and collect information under its own privacy policy. LinkedIn links take you to a site with its own privacy policy.
How we store and protect it
Form submissions are stored in a secure, access-controlled database. We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, change or disclosure. We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above or as required by law, and then delete or de-identify it.
Accessing and correcting your information
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it. Contact us using the details below. We will respond within 30 days. We do not charge for a request.
Complaints
